Shoulder Pain Diagnosis

When looking to diagnose your symptoms of shoulder pain, after preliminary questions, your Spring Orthopaedic consultant will usually confirm the diagnosis through an X-ray, ultrasound or MRI scan to exclude arthritis. Some of the more common shoulder pain conditions include rotator cuff impingement, rotator cuff tear, shoulder instability, frozen shoulder and shoulder arthritis.

Shoulder Pain Treatment

Treatment for shoulder pain varies dependent on the severity of the shoulder pain diagnosis however usually consists of one of the following: Physiotherapy to strengthen muscles, painkillers, steroid injections and in some circumstances, surgery becomes necessary.
