Professional Interests
Subspecialty interests: Hip surgery: ranging from small incision hip replacement, hip resurfacing, revision surgery of infected, failing, broken or worn hip replacements, including metal on metal problems. Knee surgery: arthroscopy and primary knee replacement. Complex Trauma and limb reconstruction including treating fractures around joint replacements and high energy/severe trauma of upper and lower limbs.
Local service development: I am the clinical lead for Hip Fracture Surgery at the BSUH
Research: I have published in peer reviewed journals on Hip replacement, Knee replacement, Infection and Trauma.
Personal Interests
Outside of work I am kept very busy spending time with my 3 young children Nia 6y, Sian 3y and Rhys 1y.
I am keen a Martial Artist, I am proficient in Judo, Kung Fu and Muay Thai, I have also studied many other arts. I was playing competitive rugby up until 2y ago.
