Professional interests

Clinical:
Enis is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon working at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust in the Major Trauma Centre since 2011. His specialist interest is in the management of acute complex trauma in both the upper and lower limbs in adults and paediatric patients. Enis’ sub-specialty interests are the management of bone infection, non-union, deformity correction and limb lengthening and works with plastic surgeons performing combined operating lists and MDT clinics. Enis is known for performing complex operations in complex patients and prides himself with low complications rates. It is no surprise therefore that Enis has developed both regional and national respect for the type of work he performs.

Academic:
Enis enjoys teaching and training and is a senior lecturer at the Brighton & Sussex Medical School. He teaches junior and senior orthopaedic surgeons locally, nationally and internationally.  Enis is invited to lecture at national and international courses throughout the year and sits on multiple committees to help influence the future of trauma in the UK.

Research:
Enis has multiple publications outlining his practice in trauma and limb reconstruction. He has pioneered several operations and performed the first bone transport case in the UK using an intramedullary nail.

Personal interests

Enis is married with two nearly adult sons. When he is not skiing or walking he loves to barbeque.
